Mould Solution Groups

The higher request of lightness combined to high performance features, bring us to a constant innovation of plastics in the last years.

Mechanical properties have been improved along with heat stability, chemical resistance and biodegrability.
Results obtained through the addition of charges and additives.
Machines and mechanical components involved in the transformation and shaping of polymers are always more engaged to heavy work, due to higher productivity and shorter delivery terms
In addition to wear, corrosion comes out always more to cause degradation of components.

This problem, well known as corrosion/erosion, generally occurs in the liquified area, caused by additives, added to polymers (flame retarding, hardening, for decomposition…)
Problems on mechanical components are stressed from the increased use of thermoplastics with high temperature workings.
Besides the common components like screws and extrusion cylinders, corrosion shows itself clearly on non-return valves and power supply bushings.
Using that components, you may find an increasing wear cases for a dry friction, wear for wet friction reinforced by speed flow that causes erosive wear cases.
This problems can be solved by the correct choice of steel.
Powder metallurgy allows to increase significantly percentage of alloy elements to obtain homogenous steels with thin carbides, as well as nitrogen-based steels to obtain a relevant corrosion resistance.
